The Future starts now

Some of you may recall our blog post from may 17th, if not you can read it here.

So the team came to a decision and we want to tell you, the community, about it.

Today marks the beginning of something new, the beginning of libstp2.

Yes we are releasing libstp2 Alpha 1 today as we decided that it's time for the next iteration of libstp. Obviously this decision didn't come from nowhere, we had a lot of conversations internally about our options and came to the conclusion that it's time for the next step.

So what changes?

Changes will include a way more open design of some functions, with the goal to make all functions open enough for others to use flexibly in their projects as well.

New functions for ncurses integration will be added as an important step towards the new interface for our Setup Tool: setup-tool-tui. Those functions are already open by design.

Anything already using it?

Yes, setup-tool-tui Alpha 1 will launch right beside libstp2 all other parts of our software suite will be ported in the coming months.

We would be happy about early-adopters and feedback.
